Things that Irk Me
Another rant from me.
So today my rant has to deal with things sold on a smaller scale. I've been such a big advocate for copyrights and it seems that people in the dolly community still don't understand. Just because it is on a smaller scale, still doesn't give you reproducing rights.
For example, one big thing is images put on doll box bags, human sized jewelry, doll sized t-shirts, or doll sized prints for doll houses. Many images from bands, known artists (ie Emily, Mark Ryden, Etc), are being used for profit. I can understand things being drawn in the style for "fan art" but the exact image just being scaled down, through whatever photo manipulation program you have, for the sole purpose of selling a product bothers me.
It's just wrong. Just like when people use other people's blythe photography on jewelry (as seen on ebay at times), it is wrong to use other artists artwork on your doll scale products.
