Funny Kewpies
So one Japanese entertainment company called Buildup thought it would be funny to make a mock product counter to this positive imagery. Thus spawned their new mascot, PQ. PQs can be found in game arcades around the country starting this fall, and the starting lineup includes Fat PQ, Old Man PQ, Melting PQ, and Anorexic PQ. If the PQ trend picks up--which I bet it will--this could trigger a huge anti-cute movement to battle the "kawaii" craze that Americans love to fawn over.
